where we become wine

growing Wisconsin grapes  for Wisconsin wine

Located within the Ice Age Trail of northeast Rock County Wisconsin,
our land was covered by early continental glaciations about 22,000 years ago.
As the result, the unique soil of Wild Wings Vineyard infuses our grapes
and the wines they become, with unique flavor and richness.
We planted our first vines in Spring 2009 and harvested
a limited first harvest Fall 2016. Harvest 2017 looks awesome!

French varietals chosen are:
Baco Noir  ~ fruit is high in acid and produces
red wines of good quality             that are deeply pigmented.

Leon Millot  ~ black grape with a distinct berry aroma.

Our 3 acre vineyard is part of our 18 acre homestead north of Milton, Wisconsin.

We look forward to nurturing our vines and cultivating relationships
with wine lovers who enjoy the distinctive offerings,
infused with the spirit of Wild Wings grapes.
